KS2 Dodgeball
16/6/23
This week, ten children from across KS2 were selected to represent our school at Dodgeball, competing against over 25 different schools.
Our day was made up of nine games, facing a wide range of schools. It was fiercely competitive, but the children were courageous throughout.
The day began with back to back losses vs Gastrells 2 and Foxmoor. We regrouped and decided on a system to help us win - with a big focus on making catches so that our teammates could come back in once they had been hit.
Next up was our biggest game of the day - Croft 1. A fantastic game by all, of which we came out victorious! We took this momentum into our next two games, vs Cashes Green and Longney, and we won both!
A short break from the sweltering heat came next as we drank plenty of water and regrouped.
Games six and seven came next, narrow defeats to Croft 2 and Amberley 2. This left us with two games to finish our day. We finished on a high, beating both Oakridge and Amberley 1.
The children were compassionate throughout the tournament, shaking hands with all of their opponents no matter what the result.
